A few notes and the newsletter

A few things:

• On Wednesday, February 2nd I will be sending home conference sign-up for parent-teacher conferences on February 22nd and 23rd. If you have already met with me in November and neither of us sees a need for another conference, it is not required for us to meet. However, I will gladly meet with everyone who is interested in a conference.

• The supply fee for the second half of the year will be mailed out early next week. Please be on the look out!

• PreK parents - please make sure to read the letter sent home on Friday about afternoon pick-up. Share this information with everyone who picks up your child.

Snow Day and Newsletter

St. Francis de Sales Preschool is now closed today, Friday January 21st. I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!

2 Hr Delay

On Friday, January 21st St. Francis de Sales is on a 2 hr delay. There will be no morning Preschool. The afternoon PreK will remain the same and begin at 12:30.

No School Monday

Just a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday because it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We'll see everyone on Tuesday and Wednesday! :)

If you haven't turned in your enrollment agreement for the 2011-2012 school year and plan on returning, please do so next week to ensure your spot in the preschool!

Also, if you want to order from Scholastic, please return your order form or fill it out online by Wednesday, January 19th.

Snow Delay

St. Francis de Sales is on a two hour delay. There will be no morning preschool class today, Wednesday, January 12th. PreK will remain the same and start at 12:30.

Early Release = Snow Day

St. Francis de Sales School is on an Early Release today, Tuesday January 11th, because of the snow. There will be no PreK class this afternoon.

First Week Back

We had a fantastic first week back! Just a reminder, the enrollment forms are out for preschool next year. Please return it by the 19th if you plan on returning. If moving on to Kindergarten at St. Francis, you need to call Linda McDonald in the office at 345-4049 ext 215 to register and schedule a screening for your child.

On January 23rd St. Francis is having an Open House after mass 11:30-1:30 pm. If you have any family or friends who have preschool age children please invite them to visit us! Thanks!

2011-2012 Preschool and Kindergarten Enrollment

Welcome back! It was wonderful seeing everyone's smiling faces after break! Is it just me, or did the children grow over the past two weeks? It seems like everyone has gained a couple of inches.

Penguin Parents - Tomorrow an enrollment agreement will be sent home for the 2011-2012 preschool year. If you plan on returning to St. Francis Preschool (and we hope you do!) please fill out the form and return to us by Wednesday, January 19th to guarantee a spot for next year. Also included with the agreement is a table comparing PreK and Kindergarten readiness benchmarks. If you are unsure of the what might be the next best step for your child, please consider these factors. I'll be happy to answer any questions or help with concerns. (If moving on to Kindergarten, please see the Polar Bear Parents' note.)

Polar Bear Parents - Kindergarten Registration will soon begin for St. Francis de Sales School. If you plan on sending your child to St. Francis next year please contact Linda McDonald at the school office (345-4049 x.215) at your earliest convenience before spots begin to fill up.
