We had a great week learning about Easter and participating in some fun activities! Please remember next week is Spring Break and the Preschool is back in session on April 5th. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Easter holiday!

P.S. Please remember to sign up for a date to celebrate your child's summer birthday!

P.P.S. We are still looking for volunteers during our community helpers unit coming up in April. Please let me know if you are interested.

Volunteers Wanted!
During the weeks of April 12th and April 19th we will be learning about community helpers. If you (or a relative or family friend) work in the community, help others and would like to volunteer to come in part of the day during these two weeks to share about your job, please let me know! Since this is more of a presentation and not working directly with the children, everyone is welcome and volunteers do not have to be fingerprinted or have Protecting God's Children.

Summer Birthdays!
I know a lot of students will have birthdays over the summer. I would like everyone to get a chance to celebrate their birthday with their friends. If your child has a summer birthday, please pick a day that you would like to celebrate in the classroom. Treats may be brought in and parents may join us for snack time and bring a book to share with the class. Please let me know a few days before you would like to celebrate so we can mark you on the calendar. Thanks!

What a beautiful week! We really enjoyed getting outside for a little bit this week! Hopefully our mud puddle (aka playground) will dry out from all of the snow soon so we can get out more on a regular basis.

Thanks to everyone who ordered books from Scholastic. I will finalize the order Saturday morning, so if you're still interested please do it tonight!

Friday Notes

Next week we will be learning about rainbows. Please help your child dress in a rainbow color each day for preschool! We will be doing a fun graphing activity every day with each class. Thanks.

Also, as the weather continues to get nicer and warmer we will begin to go back outside. Unfortunately it will take a while for all the snow on our playground to melt, but we'll try to go on walks and get outside for some fresh air. Please make sure your child has appropriate cold weather clothing for these occassions.

In you're interested in Scholastic books, please don't forget to order! Books make great Easter basket fillers. If the books need to be given to you on the sly, just let me know and we can figure it out. Orders can be completed online or by returning the flyer and a check to me. All orders must be in by Friday, March 12th. Thanks!

Finally, here is this week's newsletter! Enjoy the sunshine this weekend. :) March 5, 2010
